2020 ... 2021
Overall thought of 2020?
- We survived! Amongst the midst of a worldwide pandemic, we thrived nonetheless.
- We gained personal growth, solitude, the ability to adapt and a clearer vision for the future.
Oh, and lots of new dance moves.
What have we accomplished?
- Personally 2020 was the year to spread my wings in search of better than I've ever had.
Moving to Chicago was meaningful as well as eye opening, for certain.
Initially, like most of us, we entered the new decade with a decadent of plans and hopes.
Our sights set on accomplishing physical, financial, political and even emotional feats.
I think this past year I've accomplished control over my anger, reacting smarter to outside forces and appreciating the beauty in everything.
Also, becoming appreciative of the moments in between.
I started my own painting business, acquired loyal customers along with gaining capital to grow my assets.
What have we learned?
I've learned to take my time.
I've learned that a person will show us how he or she feels through his or her actions.
I've learned I'm amazing, flaws included.
I've learned silence is golden.
I've learned self-care heals the mind, body and soul.
I've learned it takes a village to raise a family.
I've learned we're always in the right place, at the right time, surrounded with the right people.
I've learned that God has an eye on us at all times.
I've learned what will we, will be.
I've learned intelligence sits on the foundation of confidence.
I've learned stability requires balance.
I've learned how important it is to go with my gut.
What have we left for good in 2020?
Hm... I'd say we have let go of looking for approval from others to be the person I was naturally called to be.
I'm astonishing just the way I am, separate from any other persons' expectation.
I give myself myself permission to be beyond phenomenal.
How do we feel going into the new year?
Going into this new year, I feel confident, yet slightly weary about the pandemic.
Finish the sentence:
I Think I want to go back to school.
I Feel secure.
I Wonder if I'll ever become a billionaire.
Till next time,
Signed,
Jess
