Ayyyeee April
I will apologize in advance for the lame blog title but i's the internet and this is my version of entertaining.
So far 2022 has been progressing excellently.
I'm not 100% sure what I'll be doing for the rest of my life but I'm sure it'll be amazing. God willing of course.
Here's a quick update :
Coaching at a private school has been going well, the team is running faster. We have states next week and were seeded in the top 5 in the state. However, we won't know for sure until the day of the actual meet.
Coaching is super different from being an athlete in the way in which, that understanding the sport while participating is immensely eye opening from guiding an athlete to doing so. Coaching is it's own beast, nevertheless we are constantly refining our program to win.
One of the seniors on our team is attending college at Furman University. I reminded him that he is awesome for earning a scholarship package, PRing and should enjoy every moment of college. Also, he is a shining example for generations of students to come. Little does he know, he is setting a standard for his high school and writing history with each step he takes. In fact, all of us are.
We are all writing history daily. We are all a symphony. We are all both a masterpiece and a work of art in the making.
Our conversation spiraled me into nostalgia of my oh so crazy college days. Attending Coastal Carolina University was a once in a lifetime experience. We'll write about that in the future. Actually, feel free to listen to a sample...
Podcast coming soon.
I wish him and all students an amazing 4 years. The time goes by super fast but it's more than enough time to create the foundation and network for career success. And just in case it isn't, the college gods thought it was worth duplicating it twice over just to master it and be called doctor. Lol
Also, today we got in the pool with the fam. Seeing my older brother throwing the kids in and out of the water was hilarious. There was water guns, water balloons, the whole water works. The house almost burned down due to a slight mishap. Who would have known that the pizza box doesn't go in the oven to cook the pizza.... Nevertheless, we ate pizza and celebrated time with each other.
Eventually the young men of the family will be given the opportunity for higher education. And if they so choose to attend one of the prominent universities in this world, we'll be sure to remind them that they in fact are writing history daily. The same way generations before the generations before generations before us, did for us. Shout out to their parents's parents' parents parents, especially moms. Next weekend is Mother's Day and I simply cannot wait to treat the mother's and mother's to be in our family.
Anyway,
Until next time...wishing us excellent decision making and 3 meals a day.
Always,
TT Jess.
